Man I would have KILLED to see this being made into the film at one point. I love Lynch’s version but you must get curious for what would,ve happened if Jodorowsky’s came out?

I just found this site, and must commend Manny Z for his very well written piece on electro and particularly, on his insights into Lotti Golden’s contribution to the genre. Golden was among the highly influential producer/writers in the electro scene, and I agree, it’s great to see that a woman was a progenitor of a particular brand of music that opened the floodgates leading to contemporary hip hop and rap. Golden & Scher’s musical partnership was an exceptionally inspired one, with their iconic “NUNK” and “Light Years Away,” raising the bar in a highly competitive creative scene that spawned the seminal “Planet Rock,” by Arthur Baker–another collaborator of Golden’s.
Interestingly, Lotti Golden has a massive fan base online for a highly acclaimed LP she recorded on Atlantic records, “Motor-Cycle” as an artist (singer-songwriter). “Motor-Cycle” (though not a commercial success when released) demonstrates that Golden pushed the boundaries from early on. i hope that all of the best music in the world from minneapolis can make a movie about the sound of minneapolis and how it all started and ended.with prince and andre ceymone and dez dickerson that would be great .they could call it the minneapolis sound.

the death of michael jackson has made me very sad too. he’s the biggest and most important musician and dancer of our generation(s) and is completely unique and irreplaceable. there’s so much crap about him in the media, but let’s just remember those 2 albums with quincy jones.
