‘Nervous Acid’

Bobby Konders

When I was going through my NuGroove records recently I also recorded a few by Bobby Konders. I never really knew anything about him beyond his NuGroove releases and was interested to read recently that he was one of the main forces behind New York’s Wild Pitch parties, which filled the void left by the closure of the Paradise Garage. One of his missions was to break down racial barriers and stereotypes; it’s ironic that I’d always assumed he was black. Anyway, this is one of my favourite tracks of his – acid at its deepest.
